I am honored to earn The Baltimore Sun, Howard County Times, and Columbia Flier endorsements for County Council. These endorsements are based on an intensive in-person interview by three editors with me and my opponent in the room together. The meeting enabled them to compare and contrast our responses to questions on issues facing Howard County and our plans as members of the Council. Their assessment also included coverage of our respective campaigns throughout this election cycle.
Since launching my County Council campaign I have focused on listening to and engaging with constituents in District 1 and community leaders. My message has been focused on specific and practical ideas to keep Howard County on the road to excellence. I have been honored by the endorsements from the people who educate and protect us – our County’s teachers, firefighters, and police. The hundreds of local small and independent business owners that comprise the Howard County Association of Realtors have endorsed me, along with the organization, African-Americans of Howard County who are among the most engaged members of the broader community. These endorsements recognize my 18+ years of action in the community and reflect confidence in my experience as a small business owner and an expert in improving government performance.
I look forward to earning the most important endorsement of all, the votes from the citizens in District 1.
