Important Information About Delays in Trash and Recycling Collections

Due to a collective bargaining impasse, one of the County’s 5 trash hauling contractors has experienced an employee walk out which started on Friday, December 26 and has affected trash and recycling curbside collections in Howard and Montgomery Counties. Some residents may experience late or missed collections. The county and the contractor have made arrangements with other companies to assist in providing services in the intern. Establish Joint Committee with Baltimore County districts (1 and 4) adjoining Ellicott City and Elkridge to address issues of mutual concern, interest, and action. The group would collaborate and coordinate on activities related to homelessness, parklands, history, and flooding.

Homelessness – Helping the people that move between the counties along Routes 40 & 1 and between Historic Ellicott City and Oella. This is a long-standing issue and coordination is required to find more effective approaches to addressing homelessness in this area.
