Legislative Record

In my speech after I took the oath for the Council Council on December 1, 2014 I quoted President John F. Kennedy to characterize my approach to this office. He asserted, “Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past – let us accept our own responsibility for the future.” These words may be more relevant today than ever before in our nation’s political discourse.

I have worked hard to be true to this sentiment and to my other commitments in my speech, including harnessing the energy and expertise of my constituents and the Howard County community, including establishing and conducting regular Community Cabinet meetings, regularly attending community meetings and engaging constituents in policy-making and the legislative process.
